Due to new Canadian Legislation, all blinds must 𝗡𝗢𝗧 have 𝗔𝗡𝗬 type of cord in them. Retailers no longer supply your typical vinyl blind covering or even wood blind covering due to cord hazards. Manufactures are having to come up with a creative solution for those types of blinds. When can we expect them back in stock? TBD.
Currently your only option to purchase new blinds are cellular, tiger or roller style blinds. Which of course are more expensive then your typical covering. Landlords will need to keep this situation in mind when looking at replacing window coverings if damaged upon move out. Tenants should also be aware that to replace a blind will be a pretty penny off their security deposit until Canada has a new product available.
